Why not say what you really mean?

I mean, come on judge Deni, why not just say it.  I mean, you said (this case) minimizes true rape cases and demeans women who are really raped.”

Why not just say it…that it minimizes cases of rape against real women.  After all, that’s pretty much the impression you’ve given, the mode of thinking you have towards the victim of this crime, that she’s lesser some how.  Not like you.  So why not just say it.

Be honest.  After all, you’re already an asshole.

  1. Ugh, too true! I don’t know if you’ve heard about this case but Deni also presided over the hearings. I’m told she followed the law absolutely to the letter and was oh so polite throughout the proceedings. Presumably because she knew the courtroom was swamped with reporters but also because people say she probably related to the women who’d been raped as if they could have been her sister or her friends. Just sickening.

Why stop there? Why not say that the whores are the group of women left by society to be exposed and vulnerable to serial predators who figure out that there will be no legal consequences for targeting this specific group- by default the REAL women (see: good girls) are safer and their perceived purity is better preserved.

  4. […] So said Judge Denni in the recent “rape-as-theft-of-services” case. Today, Philadelphia residents voted on whether or not to retain her. We’ll see what happens. […]

  5. How did I miss this post the first time around? You’re completely right Ren.

I also think it goes back to the thinking that if you have sex with lots of men (for money!) you’re somehow tainted, inhuman, a waste dump anyway.

Ren, maybe you should start an “asshole of the month club” (like Hustler does). I’m pretty sure you could find suitable candidates every month.

My bet is that it would be hard to pick just one a month. Sometimes I think the assholes and the dumb-asses are in competition to see who can ruin the planet first, then up comes people like Carr Deni who proudly represent both categories.

  7. It’s a tempting idea…

  8. Carr Deni wins by a landslide with my vote!

  9. Or better written, what I mean is Carr Deni should win this month by a landslide. I’m not sure Bush could win this month.

  10. Do you only allow one point of view to remain posted on your blog? Just asking.

  11. kathy, my dear, your comments are ALL OVER our blogs…and often they are even REPLIED to!

  12. Ren,

    Give in to temptation!
