Aids 2008: Homophobia March

100+ Sex Workers came together to march against Homophobia at the 1st International March against Homophobia While I was marching with everyone there was a beautiful transgendered woman from the group behind us, who was telling me that this was the very first time foreigners were allowed by the government to march in Mexico. This is not only amazing and a historic moment, but also that over 100 sex workers came to march and show their support for the LGBTIQQ community. The energy was amazing, and the NSWP, Aproase, and others gave us t-shirts so we would all match! But wait! there’s MORE! We marched 3 MILES, carrying banners, signs and chanting the whole way!

Sorry I’m behind in my postings (this is from August 2nd) but my Internet is quite spotty here, and we are all sharing laptops to get everything done that we need to get done for the conference!! I’ll get more pictures up as soon as possible from the march, and many other amazing amazing things will be coming coming coming!
