Tucker Carlson comments on Spitzer

“Getting all high-handed that a grown man went to a prostitute is nauseating.” (1:11 into the video below)… A lot of us are like him, frankly (1:50 in)… Now just because he goes to a hooker they’re going to be getting all high handed on him (2:10 in)… I just think this is one of the least sleazy things he’s done.”

  1. […] Perhaps my suspicions about Tucker were right… He said of Eliot Spitzer: “Getting all high-handed that a grown man went to a prostitute is nauseating… A lot of us […]

  2. Actually, those pulled quotes don’t give a true picture of what Carlson said in the linked video. He said that he personally had not been to prostitutes, but he thought that many people have who are jumping all over Spitzer, especially people in the media. He also said that the worst of Spitzer’s crimes happened when he “hauled his political enemies into court using public tax dollars” and the media “cheered him on like he was some kind of Robin Hood.”

He wasn’t saying that it was all right for Spitzer to go with prostitutes, just that that’s not the worst thing he’s done and not the reason he should leave office if he does leave.

I agree completely. We can’t seem to throw a politician out of office for violating the Constitution, but if they have a sex scandal, everyone really wants them out then! It’s so odd.

  3. With his wife, Silda, at his side, he added, “Our greatest glory consists not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.” So said Eliottt Spitzer in announcing his resignation as Governor of New York
    March 12, 2008.

Well, they say he is arrogant. There is little else more brazen than to snatch a little glory for ones self from the very jaws of their contemptibleness. We bid farewell to just another failed career politician. He should have done an intern.
