Scary Sex Blogging

Is blogging about sex scary to people? Perhaps so. I guess throwing sex work and politics into the mix is even more horrifying–maybe unthinkable.

I can understand a desire not to go into the sexual arena because of moral issues. But scary? Really? Blows my mind.

  1. Based on some of the reactions I’ve gotten over the years as I’ve been blogging, I think it’s fair to say that it absolutely IS scary. I think that’s weird and stupid, but apparently it’s true.

  2. people find it terrifying, apparently. Shrug.

  3. People find sex scary.

Other people actually TALKING about sex? Much scarier.

  4. If I were to blog, it would probably be about sex with strangers- in groups, at parties, on trains, in caves, without knowing their names, etc. That would probably frighten a few people. Maybe I should post something here about my wild sex life. Or would it frighten people off?

I think people are mostly afraid of what they don’t understand. So perhaps if we posted more about sex in all its glorious shapes and sizes, people would learn more and be less frightened? Then again, maybe not.

  5. I want to hear about sex in caves with strangers!

  6. Well, I’ll tell ya!

It was in a cave somewhere in the mountains of Africa…I was hiking with a friend and we got caught in the rain, so we had to stay in our cave for two days (with only a loaf of bread that had been attacked by some baboons while we were out exploring). The night was particularly cold, and along came a cute European boy from Lichtenstein. And he had food and kept us warm.🙂

  7. Or did you want actual graphic details?

  8. I want a video re-enactment!

  9. OK- you can play the part of my friend. Who shall we get to be the boy from Lichtenstein?😀

  10. hmmmm….. shall we hold auditions?

  11. Did someone mention lickinstein?
