Women fearful after string of sexual assaults in NCCo

When told police were looking for a knife-wielding man suspected of attacking five women whom he picked up along nearby roadsides since May, the women said they were terrified. But despite the last four attacks reportedly taking place over the past week, neither plans to stop getting into strange men’s cars to have sex for money.

Dayton to establish ‘no prostitution zones’

Howington said prostitution is illegal throughout the city, but it’s difficult to make arrests due to Ohio law that requires police catch the person in the act. Establishing “no prostitution zones” gives police a way to get prostitutes off the street before they connect with customers, she said.
